Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • Can I eat immediately after a root canal treatment?

You should wait until numbness wears off. Once the feeling returns, eat soft foods like yogurt or soup. Avoid chewing on the treated tooth to prevent injury or damage to the temporary filling during early healing.

  • How long should I avoid hard foods after a root canal?

Avoid hard or crunchy foods for at least 3–5 days. Biting too early can crack the tooth or loosen the filling. Your dentist will guide you once the tooth is fully restored.

  • Is pain while eating normal after root canal treatment?

Mild sensitivity is common for a few days. Pain while biting may indicate bite imbalance or filling issues and should be checked by a dentist promptly.
